Intergalactic Puzzle Touchdown mashes match-3 into gridiron football, and somehow it works. It's an asymmetric turn-based PvP puzzler where players swap between offense and defense, building big matches to score while the other side throws up blockers. Large combos become Big Play pieces, four alien teams each bring their own power, and pushing your luck can pay off or end in penalties and fumbles.
Interactive tutorials ease you in, and it's built with tournament play in mind: online matchmaking, custom lobbies and spectating, plus shared-screen versus and Remote Play Together for couch rivalries. Full controller support, on Windows and Linux.
This one shines brightest against another human, so a friend on the couch is the safest bet; online opponents may be thin for a game this niche. There's a CPU opponent too, but its highest difficulties have had crash trouble, and a recent patch is an attempted fix rather than a confirmed one.
