In Colorbound you play Anku, an Aymara boy who can reshape the world with color, on a journey to track down his late grandfather's scattered band for one last farewell. It's a colorful pixel-art puzzle platformer inspired by the Aymara culture of the Andes and by the Chilean heritage of its developer, Panpipe Studio, and its story about music, love and loss is heartfelt without ever getting heavy.
The core trick is lovely. You collect colors onto a palette and repaint the world around you, and because some colors are light enough to float while others are heavy and drop, a simple-looking room can turn into a proper brain-teaser fast. A gentle hint system nudges without giving the game away, there's an undo, and hidden llama stages are tucked around for extra head-scratching. Expect somewhere around 5 to 10 hours.
It's cozy rather than brutal, so hardcore puzzle fiends might wish there were more of it, or a bit more bite. It's had a run of small patches since launch, closing unintended solutions and squashing bugs. The crowd is still tiny, which feels like a crime. It's $14.99 and Windows-only, with a demo, full controller support and color alternatives, and it hasn't been rated for Deck.
