Here's a premise you don't see every day: you guide a girl through an abandoned facility, but mostly through the camera she keeps pointed at herself. You're looking at her face, not the path ahead, and you can only check what's behind or below her on the camera's screen. It sounds like a gimmick, and in the best way, it is. Her expressions shift before you know what's in front of her, which does a lot of quiet storytelling, and the whole cyan-drenched, low-res world feels like a recording someone left behind on purpose.
The heart of it is a mystery you piece together yourself, from audio logs, books and odd little anomalies in the footage, with simple, satisfying puzzles in between. It rewards paying close attention, it leaves you with questions worth chewing on, and it hits harder emotionally than its length suggests. It leans more eerie and lonely than outright scary, so don't come expecting a fright fest.
It's short, though: about three hours, linear, with a single ending, so there's not much reason to go back unless you want to catch the hints you missed. The selfie controls take a little getting used to, walking is slow, and sprinting hides the minimap, so expect to bump into a few walls. The solo developer has patched quickly since launch, including several fixes for progression bugs. AI was used only to translate the non-Japanese text and touch up a single texture. It's $10.99 and Windows only, with full controller support and a Steam Deck Playable rating (some text can be hard to read on the Deck's screen), and there's a free demo if you want to try the camera first.
